Contexte du recrutement et définition de poste

A Revenue Manager in the tourism industry is responsible for maximizing revenue and optimizing profitability for a hotel. They play a crucial role in revenue management strategies and help the organization achieve its financial goals. The primary job responsibilities of a Revenue Manager in the tourism industry may include:

 

  • Pricing and Inventory Management: Analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and demand patterns to determine optimal pricing strategies for rooms, packages, and services. Monitoring inventory levels and making adjustments to maximize revenue and occupancy rates.
  • Revenue Analysis and Forecasting: Collecting and analyzing data related to bookings, revenue, and market conditions to forecast future demand and revenue potential. Identifying revenue opportunities and potential risks to adjust pricing and distribution strategies accordingly.
  • Distribution Management: Collaborating with online travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and other distribution channels to optimize inventory allocation, pricing, and availability. Ensuring that distribution channels are effectively utilized to reach target markets and maximize revenue potential.
  • Yield Management: Implementing yield management techniques to optimize revenue and profitability. This includes managing overbooking strategies, length-of-stay restrictions, and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue from each customer.
  • Reporting and Performance Analysis: Generating regular reports and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of revenue management strategies. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as average daily rate (ADR), revenue per available room (RevPAR), and occupancy rates.
  • Technology Utilisation: Utilising revenue management systems, data analytics tools, and other technology solutions to automate processes, analyze data, and make informed decisions. Staying updated with industry trends and advancements in revenue management technology.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conducting regular competitive analysis to identify market trends, benchmark performance, and adjust strategies accordingly. Monitoring competitor pricing, offers, and marketing activities to maintain a competitive edge.

 

Profil Recherché

  • 2 – 4 years of hands-on Hotel Revenue Management experience.
  • A strong command of both written and spoken English and French are required.
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism or Economic Studies.
  • Highly computer literate with a high-level command of Excel.
  • Knowledgeable of hotel technology: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets
